Medicare is a Federal government program that provides health care to people over 65, people with end-stage kidney disease and people with disabilities.

1. Part A (Hospital Insurance)
Part A of Medicare helps with payments for hospital health care, nursing home care, skilled nursing facility care and home health services.

2. Part B (Medical Insurance)

Learn how and when you can sign up for and get Medicare Part A or B. If you don't have Medicare prescription drug coverage (Part D), see carefully how to get it. If you do not enroll when you are first eligible, you may have a penalty. 2. If you already have Medicare:
